Interim leadership

interim leadership

We introduce charities to fully vetted, highly skilled and experienced interim CEOs from our trusted network. These leaders bring sector expertise and skills that are relevant to your charity’s situation to stabilise organisations and set them up for long-term success.

We are not a recruitment agency: we don’t just place an interim CEO and step away. And we don’t headhunt.

Instead, we make introductions from a pre-vetted, supportive interim community.

We also provide ongoing peer and governance support, ensuring the right structures, decisions, and relationships are in place for success. Each interim CEO in our network is values-led and fully supported throughout their placement.

What does a placement cost?

We have found, interviewed and reference-checked all our interim candidates.

After an introductory no-obligation call,  we will identify a selection of highly qualified and available leaders from our experienced pool of more than 100 associates.

A proposal, including a selection of candidates, an analysis of the skills they bring to the role, their CVs and contact details, costs £500+VAT.

If you would like to then move ahead with one of our candidates, this fee is deducted from the overall package price.

Why engage an interim CEO?

Interim leadership support offers charities a chance to reset, refocus, and respond effectively to periods of uncertainty. Whether facing crisis, transition, or strategic change, an interim leader brings fresh perspective, wide-ranging experience, and the drive to deliver rapid, meaningful impact.

This approach is especially valuable when:

  • The future direction is unclear

  • You need breathing space before a permanent appointment

  • You require immediate leadership to steady the organisation

  • You’ve had a major change – such as the departure of a long-standing CEO – and need some expert support
  • You’re facing a crisis.

At Interims for Impact, we ensure our interim leaders are not only skilled and credible, but also values-led, well-supported, and equipped to work with Boards under pressure.

“I have been thoroughly impressed by the support I received from Interims for Impact when seeking a senior level interim for our charity.

Although resources were stretched and timelines were critical, we were presented with a number of high quality candidates that met our needs, and with remarkable speed and within budget.

I felt understood and looked after, and am not surprised they came recommended to me.”
