Chair & CEO support
leadership Support
Leadership—whether as an interim or permanent CEO, or as a board chair—can be isolating. We offer confidential, expert support to help charity leaders navigate complex challenges.
This includes:
- One-to-one support and advice for interim and permanent CEOs and their Chairs
- Advice for Board Chairs to understand governance guidance, regulation, group dynamics and options
- Co-Pilot support – short-term, embedded consultancy from experienced former CEOs who work as part of your team to provide additional leadership capacity, manage risk, and keep things moving during high-pressure periods
- Guidance on managing governance issues and Board relationships, and
- Flexible support on managing leadership, recruitment, decision-making, and organisational change.
Co-Pilot Support
When pressure mounts, charity leaders often need more than guidance: they need experienced support embedded within their team. Our Co-Pilot model provides short-term, hands-on leadership from former CEOs who step in to share the load at times of complexity, risk, or transition.
Rather than advising from the sidelines, Co-Pilots take on strategic and operational responsibilities, helping to steady delivery, manage key relationships, and reduce the strain on overstretched executives. They work closely with the CEO and leadership team, reinforcing rather than replacing the existing structure. Our Co-Pilots have led charities of all sizes – from Comic Relief and Oxfam to charities with small teams but big responsibilities.
MEDIATION SUPPORT
Don’t leave it too late to get help when relationships are strained.
The relationship between the CEO and Chair is perhaps the most important in the charity, yet many CEOs and Chairs struggle with maintaining a positive and constructive relationship. This tension often leads to the departure of one or both, creating instability and often failing to resolve the ultimate problem that led to the conflict.
Mediation can be a highly effective way forward. Our trained and accredited mediator, Lucy V Moore, is an experienced leader herself with a background in organisational change, governance, and team development.
This service offers impartial, people-centred support for when relationships become strained. It provides the structure, safety, and skilled facilitation needed to unlock difficult conversations and build a shared path forward.
Every engagement is tailored, people-focused, and designed to foster progress without undermining trust.

I had the privilege of securing sessions with Felicia and she was an absolute life saviour. She gave great guidance, council, advice and is clearly an expert in this area. She knows her charity sector inside out,how boards should and shouldn’t be working. Her helpful can do and can fix attitude was so effective, efficient, helpful and constructive. I think every chair would benefit from this type of consultancy. I would hundred percent recommend her and would think anyone lucky to have her counsel.
