About Us

At Interims for Impact, we ensure that interim leadership and support solves today’s challenges, while building long-term resilience for the future.

Governance matters in transition and crisis

Charities often bring in an interim CEO in to stabilise operations but fail to address the organisational context that enabled the initial crisis.

Our approach is different.

We ensure:

  • Interim leadership and support don’t just fix today: they build for the future.
  • Those leading through challenge – the CEO and the Chair – have access to skilled, supportive and experienced support.
  • Boards gain the skills and resilience to lead effectively long after the interim CEO has left or the crisis is over.
  • Boards and leaders work together, preventing future crises.

By combining expert interim leadership with tailored governance support, we help charities break the crisis cycle and build long-term resilience.

 What we do

We’re not a recruitment agency. We do not place candidates and walk away.

Interims for Impact provides a different kind of support: introducing charities to experienced interim leaders while also supporting Board effectiveness to make the most of the appointment.

We believe that a charity’s success is not just about who leads it, but how it is led. That is why we work closely with interim CEOs, in situ CEOs, Chairs, Trustees, and senior teams to ensure Boards and leaders develop together.

Our interim placement approach includes:

It’s not only about placements

We don’t only work with interim placements. We also work with in-situ CEOs and Boards to provide advice and guidance, deliver a wide range of governance support, and deliver consultancy projects on everything from strategic planning to facilitation, and culture to fundraising strategy.

We also provide the full range of related interim support that you might need during a challenging time – whether that’s an HR specialist, a finance expert, a hands-on operational guru or a fundraising adviser. We are there to help you with vetted, informed associates who can hit the ground running.

about felicia willow

Interims for Impact was founded by Felicia Willow, an experienced interim CEO, governance and strategy specialist, and qualified lawyer. Known as the Mary Poppins of the charity sector, Felicia has worked with charities of all sizes to navigate crisis, change, and transition.

Through eight charity leadership positions, Felicia has successfully brought charities through a range of complex challenges. She has worked extensively as a governance expert and strategy consultant, supporting boards to develop resilience, improve decision-making, and strengthen their organisations for the long term.

Felicia brings legal qualifications, an MBA and deep real-world experience. She has stepped into failing organisations, turned around struggling teams, secured critical funding, and worked with boards to build sustainable leadership structures.

As a result of her experience, Felicia wanted to change how interim leadership is done. Through Interims for Impact, Felicia has brought together a network of experienced interim leaders, governance experts and charity consultants. Together, we  support charities in a way that goes beyond traditional interim appointments to achieve long term personal and organisational resilience.

“The transformation undertaken by Felicia has been remarkable and we are forever in her debt for taking on the challenge and rising to meet it with unfailing energy, positivity and good humour.”

Nicole Hastie, Chair of Gloucestershire Deaf Association

“You have made such an impact in your time with us that that I think the past few months will come to be seen as a key watershed period in the history of the Shannon Trust , so thank you for all you have done in a such a short space of time.”

Trustees, the Shannon Trust

"Felicia is a wonderful ambassador for the sector, a great role model and leader. She worked with the staff team, SMT, trustees and externals really well, explaining different concepts with patience, ensuring empathy of different perspectives but with no fear of challenging. She complemented my skillset and we worked really well together, without a hint of treading on each others toes, talking through any potential weak-spots in advance. I would recommend her without hesitation.."
